Regular visitors of Roseville Park have been enjoying the new Roseville Park Pavilion, a lofty, single-storey structure for community functions.
The Roseville Park Pavilion was planned for more than five years as a multi-faceted site that could be enjoyed by residents for their various activities.
Construction of the pavilion, along with the cricket nets, started in early 2020 and was finished by March 2021. Nimbus Architecture and Heritage was tasked with the project.
The old building used as storage space was demolished to make way for the upgraded building with visually interesting geometries and curving, adding to its overall appeal.
“The new pavilion has a lofty open plan interior and a generous covered multi-use forecourt which overlook adjoining tennis courts and oval areas. Concrete bleachers and low wide brick walls provide spectator seating for easy viewing of surrounding park activities,” Kuring-gai Council stated.
The site has ample space for storage and a kitchenette for catered events. New area lighting and underground power lines were also added for public safety.
In 2022, the Roseville Park Tennis Club celebrated their centenary year at the new pavilion. Members continue to look forward to using the facilities and reviving the club’s position among North Shore’s tennis groups from their new home.
