El Jannah is set to make its way to Lindfield, further strengthening Sydney’s love for charcoal chicken.

Western Sydney’s Favourite Chicken Takes on the North Shore

Known for its mouthwatering flame-grilled chicken and famous garlic sauce, the Western Sydney institution is set to open its 23rd store marking only its second location on the North Shore after launching in Crows Nest in 20

This expansion is expected to shake up the local food scene, introducing more competition to an area already home to Ogalo and KFC. With its cult following and reputation for generous portions, El Jannah’s arrival is sure to turn heads.

El Jannah Chicken Wars Just Got Serious

The new El Jannah outlet is planned for 310-312 Pacific Highway. It will take over a space that previously housed Capri Cucina, an Italian restaurant that recently shut its doors.

According to Ku-ring-gai Council documents, the restaurant will operate from 6 am to 11 pm and create jobs for full-time, part-time, and casual staff. The development proposal states the restaurant will “contribute positively” to the area and align with Lindfield’s town centre vibe.

El Jannah: The Humble Beginnings

The El Jannah story began in 1997, when Lebanese migrant Andre Estephan opened a small takeaway shop with his sister, Samira. A few years later, Andre and his wife, Carole, decided to build their own brand—one that would become a fast-food juggernaut spanning NSW, Victoria, and the ACT.

Despite its rapid growth, El Jannah still considers Western Sydney its heartland, with most of its stores located in the region. However, with demand surging, the brand continues to expand into new markets.

What’s Next for El Jannah?

If Council gives the green light, El Jannah Lindfield will become another key milestone in the brand’s Sydney-wide expansion. Given its reputation for affordable, high-quality charcoal chicken, it’s safe to say locals will be eager to try it out.

With the proposal still under assessment, there’s no official opening date just yet—but if history is any guide, it won’t be long before El Jannah’s signature flavours take over another suburb.
